The Giving Lab: A Journey in Verse

In the heart of our community, a seed was sown,

A vision of unity, where hope had grown.

Four years of toil, of dreams and strife,

To carve a path to a better life.

With local knowledge, we took a stand,

Hand in hand, across this land.

From poor housing and jobs unsatisfying,

To managing money, and dreams undying.

In lower income areas, where shadows loom,

We lit a candle to dispel the gloom.

For Black, Asian, and minority kin,

We opened doors, inviting them in.

Through struggles of health, both body and mind,

We sought solutions, of a different kind.

Empowering voices, once silent and meek,

To rise and speak, for the change they seek.

In honest spaces, free of judgment's glare,

We found the strength to truly care.

With tools and resources, we built anew,

A community strong, resilient, and true.

From diabetes to asthma, and pressures high,

We aimed to lift spirits, to touch the sky.

Delaying the onset of lifelong pain,

Through lifestyle changes, our goal was plain.

Together we worked, with passion and grace,

To create a better, healthier place.

Where living, working, and managing money,

Became a journey, bright and sunny.

Four years have passed, and still we strive,

Keeping the dream of The Giving Lab alive.

For every heart touched, and every life changed,

Our mission continues, beautifully arranged.

So here’s to the journey, the battles won,

To the community, we are one.

In The Giving Lab, our spirits soar,

For a brighter future, forevermore.
