Kelly Akinlade
Facilitator at The Giving Lab
My name is Kelly and I am a facilitator at the Giving Lab. In my role as a facilitator, I guide the idea team in developing their ideas in a way that benefits society. Additionally, I am an individual who is interested in helping others in any way that I can.
As part of my preparation for this, I have taken courses such as Child Psychology, Sociology: Social Issues and Change, Neuroscience of Emotions and Social Cognition, Introduction to Criminology and the UK Justice System, and Criminal Psychology: Confession and Interrogation. In addition, I am currently enrolled in a course called Fundamentals of Health and Social Care.
This course is helping me to gain knowledge about medical terminology, healthcare policies, and ethical issues in the healthcare system. It is also teaching me how to provide quality care to people safely and effectively.
I believe that everyone should have access to basic needs and rights to build a healthy and productive society. I am passionate about using my skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. I also enjoy learning about different cultures and societies, and the various ways they shape our lives.
Skills: active listening, flexibility, patience and the ability to think critically and problem-solve.
Interests: reading, hair braiding, walking, human rights and food.
