Amira Tharani
Amira is an associate at TSIP, providing research and evaluation expertise to projects led by other consultants. She is keen to ensure that TSIP's research and evaluation work continues to align to equitable evaluation principles and to draw on a range of participatory and qualitative methods.
Having started her career as a teacher of Religious Studies, Amira went on to work in education consultancy for some years, including at the Church of England Education Office where she helped set up the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership. She then moved on to work in evaluation consultancy for NCVO and for Sonnet Advisory and Impact. She has supported clients of all sizes, from Children in Need, Terrence Higgins Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support, to small charities such as We Belong, to use evaluation to make better decisions and to ensure that their data collection is proportionate and fit for purpose.
Amira has a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MPhil in Education from the University of Cambridge.
