Happy holiday wishes & end of year reflections from our team

As we wrap up for the year and prepare to log off for a much-needed rest, we’re reflecting on the incredible progress of the past year and sharing a glimpse of the exciting things that lie ahead in 2024.

Looking back…

…We launched our new strategy!
In summer, we revealed our new strategy deck, ‘Reimagining a Fair Society’. To celebrate, we hosted a series of three roundtables  to discuss the three levers of systems innovation that we unveiled in our Theory of Change: Participation, Mindsets and Redistribution. Read the full strategy deck here, or why not listen to the recordings of our roundtables?

…We amplified the voices of people most affected by air pollution with Impact on Urban Health.
As a transformative research piece, this project and its insights have kickstarted the process of understanding what support around air pollution activism can look like. Amplifying the work of existing community groups and activists in the air pollution space, we were able to cultivate grassroot campaigners and support them in building a strong network of committed collaborators.

…The Giving Lab entered its fourth year!

Funded by Impact on Urban Health and the Wellcome Trust, this unique participatory grantmaking programme was co-designed with residents in Walworth. This year we focussed on our learnings and tailored the program even further and once again, community members proved they know exactly what they need in order to thrive.

…We refined our approach to systems innovation.
We've developed our thinking around systems innovation and what it means to put humanity at the centre of it. Our Head of Service Design & Co-Production Marion Brossard shares how this influenced our own theory of change and how we're supporting more of our clients not to get caught up in the complexity to cultivate systems leadership. Looking ahead…

…Our Social Innovation Lab will continue to grow.
Championing communities in the lead, we’ll be co-designing a community-led fiscal hosting service, community knowledge hub, participatory methods to early stage social entrepreneurship, and more. If you’d like to experiment, and learn with us as we go on this journey with local communities across the UK, get in touch!

...We're launching the learning programme for CBF's Anchor Programme.
We loved collaborating with the awesome team at City Bridge Foundation to co-design their Anchor Programme in 2022; Next year, TSIP is excited to launch the learning programme for their pioneering fund  that aims to provide long-term core funding to catalyse systemic change.

…We’ll continue to democratise air pollution research.

We’re delighted to be partnering with Imperial College London on the Breathe London Community Programme. Our embedded learning approach has enabled us to build strong partnerships with 60 community groups already, and we're excited to see what 2024 will bring as we continue to democratise research on air pollution - giving more agency to those worst affected, and co-creating resources for the benefit of the group.

…We look forward to working with our new Non-Executive Directors!
Welcoming new voices into the TSIP community, we have on-boarded five new Non-Executive Directors who bring a wide range of skills, networks and experiences, to support us in the next phase of our growth journey. You can learn more about them here.

Most importantly, we want to wish you a restful and joyful holiday period. We’re grateful for your partnership and support and we look forward to seeing you in 2024!
