TSIP WELCOMES NEW GLA YOUTH FUND
The team at TSIP are really pleased to see the GLA's announcement about its new Youth Fund. Our view is that this has the potential to be a great intervention to support the provision of effective youth provision to young people in London. Indeed a gap has been left by cuts in recent years, and our work on initiatives like Project Oracle helped rally the sector together and build its confidence to focus on collaboration, working effectively and learning about what works. However, at TSIP our sense is that the work that emerges from this does not only need to engage with quality learning approaches but it also needs to engage with quality design and help shape the youth services of tomorrow, and the provision that young people want and need - not just 'standing up' all the provision that already exists. In particular, we believe the GLA should consider the youth-led approaches being currently harnessed in places like Canada a great example being the Trillion Fund Youth Outcomes Fund.
